To Whom it May Concern
As pointed out in the final report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the impact of residential school abuse on First Nations culture cannot be minimised. That impact is not
restricted to First National communities but is felt throughout all of Canada and there is much healing needed everywhere.
I am pleased to support the efforts of MJ’s QIRS Ole Skool Crew Network, a Canadian non-profit organization committed to raising awareness with all Canadians of the role that
residential school abuse has played in First National communities, its impact on all of Canada, and the ways in which we can all move forward on a healing journey. MJ’s QIRS Ole Skool Crew Network’s educational and public awareness campaign will play a strong part in that healing.
Sincerely,
Perry Bellegarde
National Chief
